On July 30 there was an explosion at the munitions depot that killed four people. It ended up destroying the depot which was one of the biggest at the time. -

President Wilson from NJ passed the amendment that granted women to vote. Wilson was from New Jersey and felt the need to pass it because of his wife who worked the day till she died on women rights. -

The massive aircraft blew into flames after the berg’s hydrogen got hot enough to catch fire. 37 people died and It landed in Lakehurst NJ. -

The NJ turnpike opens on I 95, and the toll to pay is 9.05 to drive through today. -

A Pennsylvanian train derailed from Jersey city to Bay head. It killed 85 people which is the third deadliest train crash in the U.S. -
New Jersey riots
On July 13, six days of riots, arson and looting begin in Newark, resulting in 26 deaths and millions of dollars of property losses. The riots begin after the arrest of a black cab driver by two white policemen
