Japan attacked USA
Japanese had sunk or damaged 19ships, including 8 battleships, moored in Pearl Harbor for the sign of war. Soon, President Roosevelt managed Congress. They accepted President Roosevelt's request for the war on Japan and its allies. This event was a turning point because this is when Japan delcared war on the USA. -
Japan's Conquest
Since Febuarary, the Japanese had conquered the resource-rich Dutch East Indies, including the islands of Java, Sumatra, Borneo, and Celebes. They also moved westward, taking Burma. -
Battle of Midway
The Battle of Midway was over and the tide of the war turned to the Pacific. During the Battle of Midway, loss of equipments was the main issue. In detai the Japanese lost four carriers, a heavy cruiser, 3,500 men and 270 aircraft during the battle while the Americans lost one carrier, 100 men and 130 aircraft. -
Battle of Guadalcanal
After six months of fighting on land and at sea, the battle ended. The outcome was somewhat depressing due to a huge amount of losses. This speciic battle helped the Allied Forces protect themselves from letting the Japanese making a hideway.
