    All immigration to America from China was banned. Chinese residents living in the country were prevented from naturalizing as American citizens. The Chinese where fighting to be able to come to the country. The act was repealed because China had become an ally in World War 2.

    The Japanese Internment Camps were camps that America, where they forced relocated the Japanese because of World War 2 and how that America was against Japan. It was stopped because of President Gerald Ford everyone in the camps which was 80,000 people was rewarded $20,000.

    Phil Hayasaka
    Phil Hayasaka who helped connect Asian Americans communities with the struggle of open housing in Seattle. He did this by becoming the first director of Seattle's Human Rights Commission. He investigated housing discrimination in Seattle.
  • The Murder of Vincent Chin

    The Murder of Vincent Chin
    Two white men came up to Vincent Chin and said: "it's because of you we are out of work." This led to a fight he was held down by one of them and the other one repeatedly hit him in the head with a baseball bat. Vincent Chin died four days later. Chin's death brought Asian Americans together across ethnic lines to form multiethnic and multiracial alliances, to organize for civil rights, and to advocate for change.
