    I grew up roller blading and dreamed of playing Ice Hockey. I did end up playing Roller Hockey though. This was a game I could share with my older brother and verse 1on1 with. Prior to this I could never really beat my brother at games. It was important for me to share the culture of hockey with my brother.     Sonic Adventure
    I bought the Dreamcast with pocket, Christmas and birthday money. This game showed off what a brand-new gaming console could do. It told an immersive sonic story. I watched my eldest brother finish the game. Sega 1998, Sonic Adventure, video game, Sega Dreamcast, Sonic Team.

    This game made me feel like a genius. It had great characters and voice acting. I think this game objectively stands as one of the all-time greats. I remember fighting hard against puzzles and then eventually proving victorious — celebrations would ensue. Valve 2007, Portal, video game, PC, Valve.

    I can recall playing this sought of game in pub arcades growing up — but now can I get better than the rest? The game had good character tutorials and this time I had the internet to improve.     Uncharted 2: Among Thieves
