    Charles' birth
    Charles was born on the 12th of February 1809 to parents Susana and Robert Darwin in Shrewsbury,England.

    Charles' early life and career
    At the age of 9,Charles was an attendant of Shrewsbury School For Boys.In school,Charles enjoyed the subjects Religious Education and Science;however,he grew immense love for science where he built a science lab in his garden shed at 13.

    Charles was sent to Cambridge university to study as a doctor[like his father] however he did not enjoy this as the sight of blood made him feel ill. He then went to Edinburgh university to become a vicar.

    In 1831 despite passing his exams to become a vicar,Darwin received a letter to board the HMS Beagle to be the ships naturalist on its maiden voyage to Galapagos Islands from John.S Henslow in which he agreed to do.His role as a naturalist was to investigate rocks and plants of the island.

    The HMS Beagle set sail ready for its expected 3 year voyage.During the journey that felt everlasting,they ported at places consisting of: Tenerife,Bahia,Montevideo and the Falkland Islands.Then, on the 26th of September 1836,the HMS Beagle ported at the one and only...Galapagos Islands!

    Charles began the exploration the next day.He swam to shore and started to investigate.In the first few hours, he had many struggles navigating the island.Then as he began to venture deeper he soon became successful finding:The Galapagos Tortoise, The Blue Footed Booby,Finches and Iguanas.

    On the journey home,Charles started closer investigation and examination of the plants.

    Origin of species!!!
    On the 29th of August,after 20+years of hiding,Charles published the book'Origin Of Species' explaining the terms of natural selection.He based the book on how the Finches beaks were different size and shape depending on their diet.However he hid the from the public this long as his granddad had the same idea and was heavily criticised by the public, as at this time people believed that god created the world.But to his surprise the public agreed and his book became known worldwide.

    Death!
    On the 19th of April 1882 Charles unfortunately passed away due to natural causes and heart faliure. However the public demanded of his funeral to be at wesminister abbey. To their sucess he was buried and his story will forever live on
