The Arab-Israeli Conflict started when the British evacuted Palestine and the Zionist leader proclaimed the Israel state. Israel was then invaded by Egypt, Syria, Jordan, and Iraq who wanted to save Israel from the zionists. -
Six-Day War
The Six- Day War (Jun 5-10,1967) was a war in which Israel launch air strikes against Egypt, Syria, and Jordan. Then then moved and defeated the Arab forces. Israel took control of the Golan Heights, Sinai Peninsula, Gaza Strip, West Bank, and East Jerusalem and gained land in West Bank and Gaza. -
Yom Kippur War
The Yom Kippur War (Oct.6-25,1973) was a war located in the both banks of the Suez Canal, Golan Heights, and surronding regions. The war was launched by Egypt and Syria, who wanted to win back their territory. -
Camp David Accords
There was no recongization for Israel's right to exist and Egypt wanted peace with Israel.To help the peace, U.S president Jimmy Carter invited Sadat and Israeli's prime minister Menachem Begin to Camp David. There, they reached in agreement known as the Camp david Accords. Egypt regconize Israel and Israel returned the Sinai Peninsula to Egypt. -
The First Intifada
While Egypt and Israel made peace, Palestinian Arabs in Israel remained a major problem. On Dec 8, 1987 the Palestinian resentment of Israeli turned into a rebellion know as the intifada. Palestinian youth battle Isareli troops in street violence. Israel responded by strong miltary and police force but the fighting continued till the early 90's.
