The newest element added to the periodic table was an element called Ununpentuim which has an atomic number of 115. Scientists found this information by colliding the atoms at more than light speed.
His discovery lead to the catogorization of the elements into three sections. Those three sections are metals, gasses, and liquids. Also metals, metaloids, and non-metals.
