This promised the protection of church rights. Also protection for the barons from illegal imprisonment. This charter became a part of English political life.

    This was a propistion to sail to new and mysterious land. Jamestown, Virginia was the first permenent british settlement in north america. There was a harsh winter, only 60 out of 500 colonists survived it. The house of Burgesses was the first legislative assembly that was for the elected representatives in the North America.
