Anne Frank is Born
Anne Frank was born on June 12, 1929 in Frankfurt Germany. Her parents were Otto and Edith Frank. -
Adolf Hitler Becomes Chancellor
On January 30, 1933 Adolf Hitler becomes chancellor of Germany. The Franks decide to leave Germany to escape Nazi persecution. Hitler also established the first cocentration camp at Dachau, Germany on March 10. In April, the nazis passed their first anti-Jew law, baing the public employement of Jews. -
The Nuremburg Laws were Passed
On September 15, 1935 the Nuremburg laws were passed, denying Jews German citizenship ad forbidding marriage between Jews and non-Jews. -

The Van Pels Family Flee Germany
In 1937 the Van Pels family flee Germany for the Netherlands, because Adolf Hitler took over. -
Germany Invades Czechoslovakia and Poland
In March Germany invades and occupied most of Czechoslovokia. On September 1, 1939 Germany invades Poland; World War ll beagn, and France and Great Britain declared war on Germany two days later. -
Germay Invades The Netherlands
Germany inades Demark, Norway, the Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg, and France. On September 27, 1940 Japan joins the Axis. -
Germany Invades The Soviet Union
On June 22, 1941 Germany invades the Soviet Union. In December the United States enters the war on the side of the Allied nations after Japan attacks the U.S. naval base at Pearl Harbor. -
The Franks Go into Hiding
In January the "final solution" is secretly announced at a conference of Nazi officals: Europe's Jews are to be "exterminated", or murdered. On June 12, 1942 Anne recieves a diary for her thirteenth birthday. On July 6, 1942 the Franks go into hiding after Margot (Annes sister) recieves an order to appeal for deportation to a labor camp in Germany. -
D-day
On June 6, 1944 D-day. Allied forces lad in Normandy, in northern France, and launch in invasion of western Europe. On August 4, 1944 the Nazi police raid the secret Anex; the occupants are sent to concetration camps. September; Mr. Van Pels dies in Auschwitz and on December 20 Fritz Pfeffer dies i Neuengamme.
