    Anne Frank is Born
    Anne Frank was born on June 12, 1929 in Frankfurt Germany. Her parents were Otto and Edith Frank.
  • Adolf Hitler Becomes Chancellor

    Adolf Hitler Becomes Chancellor
    On January 30, 1933 Adolf Hitler becomes chancellor of Germany. The Franks decide to leave Germany to escape Nazi persecution. Hitler also established the first cocentration camp at Dachau, Germany on March 10. In April, the nazis passed their first anti-Jew law, baing the public employement of Jews.

    On September 15, 1935 the Nuremburg laws were passed, denying Jews German citizenship ad forbidding marriage between Jews and non-Jews.

    In January the "final solution" is secretly announced at a conference of Nazi officals: Europe's Jews are to be "exterminated", or murdered. On June 12, 1942 Anne recieves a diary for her thirteenth birthday. On July 6, 1942 the Franks go into hiding after Margot (Annes sister) recieves an order to appeal for deportation to a labor camp in Germany.

    On June 6, 1944 D-day. Allied forces lad in Normandy, in northern France, and launch in invasion of western Europe. On August 4, 1944 the Nazi police raid the secret Anex; the occupants are sent to concetration camps. September; Mr. Van Pels dies in Auschwitz and on December 20 Fritz Pfeffer dies i Neuengamme.
