King Boris III of Bulgaria said to Joachim von Ribbentrop, the German Forgein Minister that the 25 000 jews of Bulgaria wont be transported to Germany. We also need to remember that the two countries are some allies. That day, the dad of Anne couldn't come say the prayers, so her mom went to do it. Anne, when she was asked if it was ok that her mom said the prayers, said no. It shows again the love between Anne and her mom, so not very strong.

It shows that there's days we just don't get in with the others

At the US, they need to start the food rationing. At the same day, the Battle of Hill 609, in Tunisia, and which the Americans and Germans battled, ended with the Americans victory. At the Secret Annexe, Anne just thinks that her live is a paradise compared to other Jews lifes, that we know, are dying by tons everyday.
