Meip comes back to talk to everyone and tell them all the news and everything that is happening outside. She tells them about how the green police are the Nazi police who wear green uniforms and are out on the streets looking for people. -

The crash
On the first night of Hanukkah they are sitting and singing and opening presents and they are about to blow out the candle and they hear a loud crash below. peter slips on the chair and the iron lamp slams on the floor and makes more noise. Mr. Frank went down and realized that it was just a thief and he took the cash box and the radio. This scared everyone and made them a lot more cautious of how much noise and what they do. This made a lot of tension between everyone. -
The Secret Annexe
Anne goes into hiding with her family in the secret annexe. -
