    Japanese anime was starting to take off with a solid foundation but the Great Kantō Earthquake destroyed all the progress and forced the anime industry to start from scratch

    In 1932 the Japanese released their first colored animation film. This being following WWII most animations were being critically complained for the uneducated hits on the united states and were told to be more educated

    Snow white was the first Disney animated movie created and was the debut of US animation. After viewing some of the Japanese anime, the US thought it was a great idea and wanted to make some of their own, therefore Japanese anime influenced the animation we see today like Disney.

    In 1948, after the atomic bomb went off the US began their creation of animation which was influenced by Japans anime. Japans animated films were founded and which later became Toei Animation

    On January 1 in 1963, Fuji Television broadcast a 30-minute animated television series called Tetsuwan Atomu, known in English as Astro Boy. The release of Astro Boy was the commencement of a boom in the anime industry making an intense competition for TV audiences

    Japanese animation was making it's was over seas but many parents didn't like the animations because they thought it was sexual, cheap and violent. So when children were to watch the anime the parents claimed their children were being corrupted by a strange culture from the Orient

    The anime industry in recession
    In the summer of 1972 a lot of people were laid off and by 1973 Mushi Production went bankrupt which made a bump in the road for the anime industry. They were laid off due to the economic development in which taxes and salary were to be made high, but not all could afford to do that.

    During this time spam the anime industry entered what people today call "The Golden age" of anime. With new shows air quickly and people from all around the world watching them and buying their merchandises anime was at an all time high. During this time Hentai was released which is anime porn and that had an impact in the anime industry with good and bad reviews about it

    The release of Pokemon had a huge impact on the anime industry, as it opened the audience range from before when it was mostly nerds or children watching. Pokemon was a show made for everyone and is one of the biggest shows in anime history

    In the 2000s anime hit a peak of categorized shows in dramatic romance releasing all sorts of different shows so that the viewing audience had a lot to chose from. But because there was so many shows, each show didn't make that much money due to the fact that only a small portion of people watched them. But each show involved the culture of Japan which included their eating habits, food, and social class.

    Throughout the 2000s amine has stepped up their game releasing new shows are targeted for a specific audience and making shows that everyone will like in all different genres. But there is one downfall with the advancement of technology, no one really watched shows on actually television, they watched on Youtube and Netflix and more people played video games. So, the anime industry paired together with video game makers to make anime video games, which really hit off with people.

    Since the anime industry was losing profit from people streaming anime on the internet. In order to keep making profit from anime they released a site called Crunchy roll which let people stream anime of there and the anime industry still made money

    They’ve also included more of what their culture is in their animations with how their school system works, the type of food they eat and how they eat, also adding in their ways of greeting people such as bowing.
