Changed old pass laws into a requirement that all blacks above the age of 16 had to carry a 96-page pass book. -
Reservation of Separate Amenities Act
Segregated public facilities such as bathrooms and water fountains for blacks, whites, and coloreds. -
Bantu Education Act
Led to the complete legal segregation of educational facilities from preschool to universities. -
Natives Resettlement Act
Permitted the removal of blacks from their neighborhood areas around Johannesburg. -
Sexual Offenses Act No 23
Restricted all sexual/romantic interactions between races, primarily blacks and whites. -
Urban Blacks Council Act No 79
Began to allow self-government for blacks with African chairmen and limited administrative duties.
