The last majot battle of the American Revolution. This gained the U.S. respect and the satisfaction of knowing the defeated the British army twice. -

In the election of 1824, four canidates ran against eachother, Andrew Jackson, John Quincy Adams, Heanry Clay, William Crawford. It was close between John Quincy Adams and Andrew Jackson, but John won. -
Election of 1828
In the election of 1828 two canidates ran agaisnt each other, John Quincy Adams and Andrew Jackson. Andrew Jackson won and became the first Democratic president. -
Indian Removal Act
Georgia was complaining about Indians on their territory and wanted them off. So Jackson, with his power, devised an act that "removed" the Indians, or made them move, This era was called the "Trail of Tears" because many of the Indians, on the way, died. -
Bank War
Andrew Jackson thought the national bank was too powerful and thought the workers would use the bank for their own profit. When the time came to renew the license Jackson vetoed it and eventually the bank died out. -
Nullification Crisis
The staste of South Carolina declared the protective rariffs were unconstitutional and unenforceable. They threatened to secede until Henry Clay came up with compromise, the tax was lowered and Jackson had the right to take military action when another state threatened to secede.
