Only John Quincy Adams was a match for Jackson, as both Crawford and Clay only had 41 and 37 electoral votes, which was no match for Jackson's 99 electoral votes. John Quincy Adams had 84 electoral votes. But, no one met the requirement to become president, and Henry Clay made an influence towards John Quincy Adams, and John Quincy Adams was elected president. -
