Jackson lost this eletion to John Quincy Adams. Henry Clay let Quincy win as long as he could be Secretary of State. Jackson called this a "Corrupt Bargain." -

Jackson won the presidency this time around. He won by a landslide. -

Indians were forced out West so Americans could have more room. They walked along the Trail of Tears. -
Nullification Crisis
The Nullification Crisis put taxes on imported and exported goods. South Carolina threatened to secede if the problem wasn't solved. -
Worcester v. Georgia
Georgia wanted to remove all the Indians from the state. The Supreme Court ruled that it was unconstitutioal to remove all of them. -
