Jackson's Birth
Jackson's birthplace is unclear because he was born when his mother was coming home from burrying Jackson's father. He had died three weeks before because of an accident at the age of 29. The general are that Jackson was born was Waxhaws. It is a geographical area on the border of North and South Carolina. Jackson had two siblings named Hugh (1762-1779) and Robert (1765-1780). -

Battle of Horseshoe Bend
The battle of Horseshoe Bend was fought on March 27, 1814 during the war of 1812. At this battle Jackson defeated a tribe of Indians led by Tecumseh which ended the Creek War. -
Battle of New Orleans
The Battle of New Orleans was the final major battle of the war of 1812. The battle only lasted about 30 minutes when 7,500 British soldiers went against 4,500 U.S soldiers led by Andrew Jackson. Jackson established himself as a military hero through the Battle of New Orleans. -
Election of 1824
This presidental election occured in November of 1824 but John Adams was never officially appointed President by the House until February 9, 1825. John Adams had a corrupt bargain because of his time spent in the White House and he made a deal with Henry Clay saying that Clay would get a high ranking Job if he helped Adams in the election. -
Election of 1828
This presidential elecdtion was like a rematch between John Quincy Adams and Andrew Jackson. This was also the first election that had to be decided by popular vote. This election had a lot of personal attacks between Jackson and Adams to try and become president. Jackson won out this election by popular vote. -

Worcester v. Georgia
On March 12, 1831 Samuel Worcester was arrested because he did not have permission from the state to be with the Cherokee Indians. He was giving them advice with their political situation and helping them with many other things. The whole point of this Court case was to remove the Cherokee Indians from their home lands. -
Bank War
The Bank War started on Febuary 19,1832, but was never settled untill 1836. Jackson despised the bank so much, that when the banks charter expired he never renewed it. -
Nullification Crisis
The Nullification Crisis arose in the early 1830s when leaders of South Carolina advanced the idea that a state did not have to follow a federal law and could, in effect, "nullify" the law.
