Battle of New Orleans was the last battle of the War of 812. Jackson led the American army to victory. Even thought the British Army was almost double the size of Jacksons army, he still managed to win. Elections on 1824
Jackson won the most electoral votes but he did not get a majority, so the seconed place winner, John Quincy Adams, became president. -
Election of 1828
Since Jackson was denied the spot of President in 1824, his supporters were a little disapointed, but that did not stop him for winning the next election, Jackson won the most popular votes and the most electoral botes in 1828 declaring him President. -
Indian Removal Act
The Indian Removal Act was an act passed by congerss giving the president the right to demand Indian tribes to moves west of the Mississippi river. When the Indians moved they went on a trail they named the Trail of Tears because it was very rough and many people died on the journey. -
Bank War
The Bank War was a political issue with the renewel of the Seconed American bank. Jackson thought the Bank was too powerful and vetoed the bill to the Seconed National Bank.
