The election of 1828 was like a rematch between John Quincy Adams. Jackson won again because of the majority in the electoral college. -

After gold was found on Native-American land, Jackson made his worse decision yet. He forced all of the Indians out of their home, creating what was legendarily remembered as the Trail of Tears. -
Worcester vs. Georgia
The federal government got control of dictating what native lands were used for. This was big in state's rights because a state couldn't dictate what its land was used for, or who lived on it. They also couldn't make laws regarding Native-Americans. -
Nullification Crisis
South Carolina didn't want to pay tariffs or federal taxes. The court had to decide if a state could refuse to pay those taxes or not. Jackson said they could, but Calhoun and Clay said they couldn't. This caused strong feelings of hate towards Calhoun and Clay for the rest of Andrew Jackson's life.
