President Jackson was born on the seventeenth of March, 1765 to Andrew and Elizabeth Hutchinson Jackson. He was the first president to be born in a log cabin. -

Election of 1824
Jackson ran against three other candidates, he won the popular vote, but none of them recieved enough electoral votes to be elected. Henry Clay did not have enough votes to be in the top two, but helped a fellow whig get elected; Jackson thought that this was a corrupt bargain. -

Andrew Jackson wins election against John Quincy Adams to become the President of the United States. -

Act that forced the 5 civilized tribes to move west of the Mississppi river to the reserve in present day Oklahoma. -
Worcester vs. Georgia
Georgia was trying to force indians off of the land so more people could settle there. The Cherokees thought this was unjust so they took this to the supreme court. They sided with Georgia and many indians were forced off of American soil. This started the Trail of tears. -
Bank War
Jackson vetoed the charter of the national bank and the bank war started. -
Nullification Crisis
South Carolina wanted to nullify the protective tariff of 1828 and if they couldn't, they threatened to secede. Andrew Jackson got Henry Clay to create a compromise leaving the US and South Carolina happy. South Carolina then lifted their threat to secede.
