Bank War
Andrew Jackson vetos a bill to renew the National Bank early and transfers money to the state "pet" banks. The president of the Bank, Nicholas Biddle, attempted to save the National bank but could not. The Bank's charter expired and money was transferred to State banks. Because the state banks printed too much money, an economic depression was caused due to inflation. -
