    Jackson and an army along with many others attacked Chief Menawa and his red stick warriors at the horseshoe bend of the Tallapoosa River. Many of the Warriors died defending their homelands, but the victory for Andrew Jackson, got him the election in 1828

    The Supreme Court case warcester vs GA maintained that Indians had a right to remain in Georgia but the Indian removal act gave the president the power to move them west of the Mississippi which is what he did. This was called the trial of tears because many lives were lost and the Indians lost their homeland.
