Andrew Jackson was born on March 15th, 1767 to Andrew and Elisabeth Hutchinson Jackson in Waxhaws. Straddling North Carolina and South Carolina, the actual birthplace is still unknown, but the fact that his father died about 3 weeks after Andrew was born at the age of 29 is a proven fact. -

Andrew Jackson believed that the National bank of the U.S was virtually killing the common man and giving the wealthy powers that they did not deserve. So, he got rid of papered currency along with the national bank by a veto, against Congresse's judgement. -
Election of 1824
When Andrew Jacson first decided to run for president, he was competing with two whigs, John Q. Adams and Henry Clay, and one other Democrat, William Crawford. After Jackson won the popular vote, the electoral votes were spplit. It came down to just Jackson and Adams. However, when Clay was taken out, he bribed Adams to give him a good spot in the Cabinet if he gave Adams the Electoral votes he needed to win. Adams ended up unfairly winning against Jackson as he called it a "corrupt bargain". -
Election of 1828
The election of 1828 was one of the first political moments that Andrew had in his life. He competed for president with Jonn Quincy Adams after he won he election of 1824 by corrupting the compotition's chance of winning their presidency. However, once Jackson infomed the nation of Adams' methods, he wont the election of 1828 with the popular and electoral votes. -
Indian Removal Act
Andrew Jackson, persuaded to do something about the Indian tribes standing in the way of westward expansion. He decided to exchange all of their land in settled areas for land westward. Thousands of natives died which soon was known as the 'trail of tears' due to the deaths. -
Nulification Crisis
When Jackson passed a new protective tariff for the cotton and cloth manufacturing. Souh Carolina, apauld with the new 'abomination tariff' they wrote the Ordinance of Nullification which declared their wish for states rights. They threatned to secede if they were not given the rights they deserved. As a result, Jackson sent solilders to setle South Carolina and end the uprising against the U.S. -
Worcester v.s georgia
In this court case, the Worcester family was living in indian reserved area in Georgia when they were not supposed to and refused to move. John Marshall declared that Georgia did not have the power to force the Worcester family out of an area that they didn't even control.
