    In 1824, An election occured where Andrew Jackson got the most votes, but Adams was voted into presidency by the House of Representatives. To get revenge, Andrew makes Adam's presidency horrible which ends up making Adams the only president to serve for one term.

    In 1828, Another election occured where Andrew Jackson won by a landslide. This made Adams the only president to only serve for one term. During their battle, the democratic-republicians split into 2 parties, the democrats and the whigs. The main reason Jackson won was because the common people voted for him

    In 1828-1832, The South declarded federal laws null and void. The tariffs were severly damaging the economy for the South because they needed imports to farm. The tariffs were declared unconstitutional which was a use of power Andrew Jackson had.

    After 1830, the Trail of Tears happened because of the Indian Removal Act. This forced indians to travel many, many miles to get to their destination. This journey had people dying of disease and starvation. Ultimately, 10,000 people died because of westward expansion.
