    The election of 1824 was an election between John Quincy Adams, Henry Clay, and Andrew Jackson. Adams eventualy won with the hep of Henry Clay, and the eection was considered a Corrupt Bargain.

    Andrew Jackson went up against Adams again, and won the election.
  • Indian Removal Act

    Indian Removal Act
    Georgia wanted to make the Natives to move off their land, but the Indians refused. The case was brought up to the Supreme Court and was known as the Worcester V. Georgia. The Natives eventually had to leave ina journey called the Trail of Tears, since many natives died.

    Worcester V. Georgia
    Georgia wanted to get rid of the Natives living in the area. Worcester defended the natives and the case went up to the Supreme Court. John Marshall ruled that Georgia had no right, but Georgia continued trying to get rid of them. Eventually the Natives left known as the Trail of Tears, and went to present day Oklahoma.

    South Carolina didn't like the high tariffs since they traded a lot. They threatened to secede if they couldn't nullify the tariff. The governement eventually lowered the tariff.
  • Bank War

    Bank War
    The National Bank was created to help US economy, and its president was Nicholas Biddle. Jackson disliked the bank and thought it was unconstitutional and too powerful. Eventually the bank closed.
