    A famous Greek, Homer, created his epic stories The lliad & The Odyssey. His stories involved heroes, dangerous journeys to strange lands, exotic and deadly monsters, and love and war.

    This period is known as The Golden age of Greek civilisation. It's known as gold because many new ways of governing, thinking and creating were experimented with. Examples of this would be the democratic laws and reforms in the city-states of Athens.

    This was the era of decline of Greek city-state and the rise of the are of Greece known as Macedonia.

    Alexander the Great becomes the king of Macedonia. He was a famous leader and military commander, and created a large Empire
    which extended from the Mediterranean to the Middle East but his Empire crumbled soon after his death
