Xerxes Against Greece
Xerxes I, of Xerxes the Great, invades Egypt and uses Egypt's resources to prepare to invade Greece. During this time he builds canals, depots and a boat bridge. In 479BC, Xerxes's forces are defeated by the Greeks, ending the Persian's ambitions at ruling Greece. (Xerxes was the ruler of Persia at the time) -

Greece And Persia
Peace between Greece and Persia happens. This marks 30 years since the Greco-Persian wars. The treaty was negotiated by Callias, which is why it is called the "The Peace of Callias".
