The pentathlon: long jump, discus and javelin throw, a stadion race and wrestling. The games lasted for 5 days and were in honour of Zeus. -

The winners were considered heroes and they got olive branches and money. The Olympic Games were held in Olympia because the gods lived on Mount Olympus. -
