    During the Minoan Age they used a script called 'linear A' to help them as they wrote. Stories state that King Minos (named during the age) ruled Athens and forced the Athenias to deliver seven youths and seven mablens every nine years.

    Minoan civilization was located on the island of Crete, which is now a part of Greece. The Minoans were famous for the magnificent palaces they built, above all at Knossos.

    The Late Minoan Period

    The Minoans disappeared so suddenly because of the massive volcanic eruption in the Santorini Islands.The eruption was only 70 miles (112.654KM) from Crete, the center of the Minoan civilization.

    The Mycenaean Age was named after the kingdom of Mycenaean who were the period of high cultural achievments. In the kingdom of Mycenaean underneath the ground were fabulous works of gold which can not be sold(priceless).

    In the dark Ages there was a period following the fall of the Mycenaean civilisation. The Mycenaean went to civil war and used their newly invented iron weapons to lay waste to the Mycenaean culture.

    During the Classical Age the greeks began conflict with the kingdom of Persia, and in Athens they developed the full democratic system, the buliding of the Partheonon on the Acropoilc and the philosophical schools of Socrated and Plato.
