Hyksos Invasion

1650 BCE

Hyksos Invasion started around 1650 BC the Hyksos of the northern Nile Delta invaded Egypt and was able to take control of the northern Egyptian lands. The invasion led to the Hyksos having all the land for a century.

Egypt and the Canaanite

1500 BCE

This war started on 1500 BC and started because the Egyptians wanted to expand there land. There was a well known battle in this war where Pharaoh Thutmose III sent 10,000 to 20,000 men to go face to face an army with 10,00 to 15,000 led by the King of Kadesh and the King of Megiddo.

Battle of Meggido

1479 BCE

Pharaoh Tuthmosis III had over 20,000 under his command to do battle against Syria's 15,000 man army. The Egyptians won the battle capturing over two hundred chariots and two thousand horses from the defeated Syrians.

Egypt and the Hittites

1288 BCE

A well known ancient Egypt war was faced against Hittites in the famous battle of Kadesh. There were about 20,000 Egyptian man with 10,000 engaged in the battle when the Hittites had 50,000 men. The battle was the biggest battle in history where there were 6,000 chariots (people who are riding horses) in between the two armies.

Battle of Kadesh

1288 BCE

A famous battle that took place in the city of kadesh in Syria. Ramesses the II commanded a army of 20,000 men divided into four divisions each division was named after a major deity: Amun, Ptah, Ra, Sutekh.

Egypt and the Assyrians

671 BCE

The Assyrians were known for there knowledge of warfare From 671 B.C. to 663 B.C the Egyptians were invaded. before the invasion from the Assyrians the first pharaoh of the twenty-fifth dynasty was Shebaka

Persians conquered Egypt

The Persians ruled Egypt in 525 BC successfully. After the Greek victory in Marathon in 490 BC, the Egyptians took violent action with the help of the Athenians, but unsuccessfully. later the Persians were not that strong and the Egyptians became independent.
