Confucius
551-479 BCE. During the spring and Autumn period, many states were in conflict. State rulers hired officials and advisers at their courts. Confucius was on of these people. He was trying to persuade people to do good and accept traditional roles of society. He did not succeed in influencing any rulers, however, his disciples organized his teachings into a book called the Analects. His philosophy would became the most important school of thought in China. -
