In Mesopotamia they used art tools for many purposes like sculptures and art drill and all the tools required lack handles.
their most common tools included stones, bones and metal, stone tools-It had sharp edges it was arrowheads. bone tools- was made out of animals bones like sheep's and goats.it was used for leather-working some bones function like knives.

Ancient egypt developed a very rich culture which included art.
They made carved statues,papyrus scrolls,wood craft

for their art work on paper they cut the papyrus into a small thin strip and used it .
they used red palettes to hold the reed brushes and inks.
