Battle of Concord & Lexington
The British were after the guns and ammunition hidden in Concord. All 13 colonies fought against the British. For the colonists 49 were killed, 39 were wounded, and 5 were missing. For the British 73 were killed, 174 were wounded, and 26 were missing.

Battle of Bunker Hill
Occurred in Boston.
Redcoats stormed the hill three times but were forced to retreat.

Wasn't signed till August 2,1776.
The significance was the document contained certain ideals that the colonists believed were important for men to have.
The main ideas was that all men were created equal and all men have basic human rights given to them from God.
It increased the colonists needs for independence. -
