The Albany Congress
The were two purposes of the Albany Congress which were to try to secure the support and cooperation of the Iroquois in fighting the French and the second purpose was to form a colonial alliance based on a design by Benjamin Franklin. -

The Townshend Revenue Act
Taxes on glass, paint, oil, lead, paper, and tea were applied. -
Boston Massacre
A street fight between a patriot mob and British soldiers. A signal event that lead to the Revolutionary war. -
The First Continental Congress
The first continental congress met in in Philadelphia in Carpenter's Hall. Delegates were present from every colony except Georgia. -
Declaration of Independence
The Declaration of Independence was signed and read about publicly.
