Battle of Saratoga
Another British army led by General Burgoune objective was to cut New England off from the rest of the colonists. The Americans were not happy with Burgoyne's idea, so they retreated in Burgoyne's path, they destroyed tree's and knocked tree's in the road to slow his force down. In October 1777 Burgoyne surrendered his army. -
Battle of Yorktown
Washington's trrops joined Lafayette's troops. Britian's Cornwallis is left to face on army twice the size of his own. Cornwallis suffered many casualities at Cowpens, South Carolina. Unable to escape, Cornwallis surrenders to Washington on October 19, 1781. It starts in New England and heads south to South Carolina. -
2nd Treaty of Paris
Ended the Revolutionary War. Great Britian, France, Sapin, and the United States had all ben involved in the war. the colonist are now independent from England. The northern boarder between US and Britians Canda was set from New England.
