boston massacre

nine British senturies were guarding the customs house when they shot into a crowd of civilians leaving 3 dead and 8 injured. This event was important because it helped galvanize Boston and the colonies against the British. after this, the British started doing the Stamp Act and Sugar Act to the colonists taxation without representation

Boston tea party

Dec 16, 1773

one night 60 men dressed up as indians and dumped tea in the harbor. The reason was Taxation without representation. The outcome of this was the British shut down Boston Harbor until all the chests of tea were paid off. The Boston Tea Party Act was Important because it was the first sign of defiance and showed the British we wanted to be independent

Passage of the Intolerable acts

The Passage of the Intolerable acts were four laws put in to punish the colonists because of the Boston Tea Party Act, these laws were passed by the British parliament. The outcome of the Intolerable acts led to the outbreak of the American Revolution war. The intolerable acts were meant to force the colonists to be put back to their place and obey.

Paul Revere’s Ride

The famous paul revere. Rode a horse and went around the town telling the colonists that the British were coming. Revere was captured by the British and was questioned and later was freed. Revere's ride was important because he warned the minute man that the British were marching to Lexington.

The famous shot is heard around the world. The war was important because it was the start of the American war for Independance. The war that Americans won.

July 4th was the day the declaration of Independence was adopted. The committee of five was Thomas Jefferson, john adams, benjamin franklin, Roger Sherman, Robert r. Livingston. This was important because it was it showed the colonists to step foot and to be independent and to not listen to king george.

Battles of Saratoga

The American victory helped the U.S get recognized by the french and they offered openly to provide military assistance, the outcome of this further gave hope to the colonists that they would get their independence. Turning Point to the revolutionary war.

Treaty of paris

The treaty that ended the American Revolution. At the end the United States was recognized as its own independent nation.
