    An act that parliament created stated that all trade between England and other countries are to be carried in vessels. This caused the Angel- Dutch war
  • End of the French and Indian War

    End of the French and Indian War
    During the first year of war the British suffered tremendously with sickness and attack strategies of the Indians. The war ended with the Treaty of Paris which occurred in Hubertusburg, 1763. The treaty ensured the strength of the colonies.
  • Stamp act

    Stamp act
    It formed after the Seven Years War since Britain needed a way to pay their debts back. The stamp act taxed legal and commercial documents. It eventually ended up getting repealed.
  • Boston massacre

    Private Hugh White was guarding the Custom House which stored the kings money when angry colonists come starting a street-fight. White fought back but mor colonies began to show up throwing stones, ice, and snowballs. White had no other choice but to call for backup. When the backup came they got in formation ready for the command to shot. Some yelled “fire” causing the privates to open fire in the colonists killing 5.

    During the tea acts monopoly on the British tea imports. Many of the people had shares of parliament in which they used to direct sell tea to the colonies. They thought the colonies would be happy about the cheaper tea but they were not.

    The colonist were upsetting with the fact that they had no say or anyone to represent them when their was a tax placed on tea. So the dressed as native Americans and dumped 342 crates of tea into the harbor.

    The first meet took place in the Carpenters’ Hall in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Their goal at the time was to show their support for Boston and to decide how to handle the British. They had passed an article of rights and issued the Declarations of rights.

    The battle of Lexington and Concord was the beginning of the American. When the British men arrived in Lexington the militiamen began fire. This caused the British to have to go to Concord to collect more weapons. Minutemen could have cut the British off but didn’t instead they fired form 18 miles away killing 250 of the British soldiers.

    The battle happened during the second year of the American Revolution. The two battles that occurred were the Battle of Freeman’s Farm and the battle of Bernie Heights. Through those two battle the American gained more troops forcing the British to withdraw. This was a major point in the Revolution because it boosted the colonists’ confidence and helped them gain more alliances.

    It was the beginning of the nation taking its independence. In September 1781 Washington and Rochambeau arrived in York’s town to come up with an attack. This resulted inCornwallis surrendering.

    The constitution was one of the most important documents written. It was written in the Assembly Room of the Pennsylvania State house. The purpose of the constitution was to protect the rights of the people.

    The Constitution convention brought up the flaws of the confederation. There had to be 9 states to ratify the document. It took New Jersey’s months to become the 9th state.
