French and Indian War Ends

Lexington and Concord were the firsts in the American Revolution. The colonists wanted to fight back the suppression. This made the “shot heard around the world”. -

The Second Continental Congress allowed the colonists to meet and discuss plans and strategies for the war. This allowed independence and was caused by the desire to weaken the British Army. -

The Declaration being adopted happened because they formed an alliance with France and seemed independence. This caused independence for the thirteen colonies. -

The Battle of Saratoga was a battle that gave Americans a victory over Britain. It was caused by the French alliance. This was a turning point in the Revolution for America. -
Winter at Valley Forge
During the winter many soldiers died from various reasons. It was a struggle but George Washington and his men stayed patriotic. It was caused by lack of supplies and preparation. The effect was death. -
Battle of Yorktown
The Battle of Yorktown was another turning point. The British surrendered to America. It ended the Revolutionary War and caused George Washington to be well respected. -

The U.S. Constitution was written to set rules for the colonies. It allowed independence from Britain. It was the framework for America. -

The Constitution was ratified by the states. It truly allowed freedom to move into place. States had equal power and independence.
