    The Boston Massacre was an event that took place on March 5th, 1770. It was a street fight between a Patriot mob and British Soldiers. The mob was throwing things such as snowballs, stones, and sticks. The outcome of this event was not very pretty, many people had died which had lead to a speech.

    The Boston Tea Party
    The Boston Tea Party occurred because the American colonists were angry that they were being taxed by the British. ¨ Taxation without representation¨ was said while they threw crates of tea into the harbor. This was the first big event that had happened between the colonists and the British.
  • Passage of the Intolerable Acts

    Passage of the Intolerable Acts
    The Intolerable Acts also known as The Coercive Acts, were 5 laws passed by the British Parliament. They were made to punish the Colony of Massachusetts Bay because of the Boston Tea Party. The 5 laws that were passed were, The Boston Port Act, The Massachusetts Government Act, The Administration of Justice Act, The Quartering Act, and The Quebec Act.
  • Creation of the Continental Congress

    Creation of the Continental Congress
    This creation was made when colonial legislatures empowered delegates to attend the Continental Congress which was set up to set terms for a boycott. All the congressmen met in Philadelphia with delegates from all 13 colonies excluding Georgia.
  • Paul Revere´s Ride

    Paul Revere´s Ride
    In the evening of April 18th, 1775 Paul was sent to send a message that the British Soldiers were stationed in Boston. He warned everyone of their company, the British wanted to arrest Samuel Adams and John Hancock. Eventually Revere got the message to them and he was later captured and held for some time.

    Battles of Lexington and Concord
    The Battle of Lexington and Concord set off the American Revolution. The night of April 18th, 1775 the British Soldiers marched to nearby Concord to capture some people. After they failed to do so, a confrontation in Lexington Town started off a fight. The British had to retreat after under intense fire.

    Battle of the Bunker Hill
    The British had defeated the American Patriots in this battle. The reason being they had a much bigger army than the Americans due to many people dying. The British had planned to launch their attack on the Americans on the north and south of Boston.
  • Creation of the Declaration of Independence

    Creation of the Declaration of Independence
    The creation of the Declaration of Independence took about 2 months. It had started when Richard Henry Lee had stated that the United Colonies should not be under Great Britain's control anymore. Later on a Committee of Five was put together to draft the document. Then it was drafted, adopted had copies printed and by August 2nd, 1776 the Declaration of Independence was then signed.

    Battles of Saratoga
    This Battle was a turning point in the Revolution. The Americans had ended up defeating the British, they had hope for independence. The British had planned another attack but the Americans fought against it as they had their own plan.
  • Treaty of Paris

    Treaty of Paris
    Benjamin Franklin had wanted the British to be recognized with the American Independence, but he had also refused a peace separate from France. He did agree with the British on ending the war. France had signed articles of peace with Great Britain, which followed a formal signing of peace of Paris.
