This event took place to adress governing problems in the United States. Although the Convention was intended to revise the Articles of Confederation, the "chiefs" wanted to create a whole new government compared to just fixing the one they already had. -
Virginia Plan
The Virginia Plan is also known as the Randolph Plan. It was a proposal by Virginia delegates for a bicameral legislative branch. -
New Jersey Plan
The New Jersey Plan is also known as the Small State Plan. It was a proposal for the structure of the United States Government presented by William Paterson.
