French & Indian War
The French and Indian war was between France and Great Britain. The result of the war was the treaty of Paris. -
Stamp Act of 1765
The stamp act was by the British parliament under king George. It added tax on all papers and documents in all of the American colonies but not England. -
Townshend Act of 1767
The Townshend Act of 1767 was designed for the British to show authority over the colonies. The acts consisted of the Suspending Act as well as the Revenue act. -
Boston Massacre
The Boston Massacre was a riot that happened from a group of soldiers standing in the streets of a city. British solders fired on the Boston colonists killing several people. -
Boston Tea Party
60 people threw 342 containers of tea in the Boston harbor to protest the tax on tea and the monopoly. Over 92,000 pounds of tea was destroyed. -
First Continental Congress meets
The First Continental Congress meet ended in boycotting British goods. It took about 7 weeks to decide on boycotting the goods. -
Battle of Bunker Hill
The Americans were defeated but we showed the British we could hold our own. Most of the fighting was done on a hill called Breeds hill. -
Olive Branch Petition sent to England
The petition to rebel was rejected by the British government. King George declared the colonists traitors for suggesting the rebellion. -
Declaration of Independence adopted
The declaration of independence was the motion of all 13 colonies declaring independence from the British rule. There are four key things as apart of the Declaration. -
Battle of Trenton
Having won this battle, the win boosted the self confidence of the American fighters. There were only four American soldiers killed in this battle and 8 wounded. -
Battle of Camden
When the British achieved victory in South Carolina it was one of the worst loses on the American Army. America was said to lost the battle due to tactical errors and plan flaws. -
Battle of Yorktown
The USA was "birthed" from the battle of Yorktown. George Washington was the one who authorized the battle. -
Constitutional Convention
Certain people had much larger plans for the Constitutional Convention. This event was a meeting of people deciding how America should be governed. -
Great Compromise
The Great Compromise was president Franklin deciding that each of the 50 states should all be able to vote equally and fairly. All American citizens should be able to vote on all things that matter. -
Bill of Rights adopted
The Bill of Rights are the first 10 commandments and they are every Americans individual set of rights. The bill of rights were set to guarantee Americans rights.
