The Stamp act taxed people for each piece of printed paper they used. This made colinists angry and this is kinda why it started the revolution.

Boston Massacre

It was considered to be the first battle of the revolutionary war. Important because it all went up from there and more and more battles from there.

Boston Tea Party

Dec 16, 1773

Samuel adams and others boarded ships in boston harbpr and dumped 342 chests of tea overboard. This is when the colonists stood up and started to fight back.

Intolerable acts

Mar 24, 1774

A set of punitive laws passed by british parlament, to punish Massachusetts colinists afer the boston tea party.

lexington and Concord

Apr 19, 1775

British troops marched to concord to sieze an arms cache. After that many more battles happend.

Listed the rights of man and kinda ended the fight for independence.

Saratoga

America captures whole brittish army. Rules of wasr start to change.

Yorktown

Oct 19, 1781

Cornwallis surrendered and war was over insuring independence.

Ended the Revolutionary war and reconized american independence
