It was five miles short of Concord. When they got close they saw 70 minutemen drawn in lines. The british commander ordered the minutemen to lay down their arms and leave.Someone wind up firing and the soldiers sent a volley of shots into the departing militia. Eight of them were killed and ten were wounded. It only lasted 15 minutes.
