The sons of liberty would push against the british rule. The sons of liberty were Henry Bass, Joseph Field, John Smith, Thomas Chase, John Avery, Stephen Cleverly, Benjamin Edes, George Trott and Thomas Crafts, and Samuel Adams who joined later on. -
Townshend Act of 1767
This is when the British started taxing imports to the colonies. leading to the colonists rebelling cause they saw it as a form of abuse. -

During this the colonists were throwing stuff at the british. Because of that the british killed multiple colonists. -
Boston tea party
The british were gonna start taxing everything so the colonists dumped a bunch of tea off ships, resulting in the british losing a ton of money. -
Intolerable Acts
The Intolerable Acts were a series of punitive laws passed by the British Parliament in 1774 after the Boston Tea Party. -
Battles of Lexington and Concord
These battles kicked off the revolutionary war, and the colonists won the battles. -
Olive Branch Petition sent to England
This olive branch basically showed they were dedicated to the crown and acknowledged their rights as British people. -

This is where big and small states were given a number of representatives. More populated states got more, less populated were given less. -
Constitution is ratified
This is when the states had all decided on a constitution and agreed that government under the U.S. Constitution would begin on March 4, 1789. -
Bill of Rights adopted
Washington sent copies of the 12 amendments adopted by Congress to the states. Then the states had decided on 10.
