The British Governement says that even though the colonists are not in England they are still British citizens and can be taxed when ever the government wants to tax them. In other words it reaffirms Britians ability to make laws to regaulate the colonies. -
Twonshend Act
The Townshend act is the act of taxing paper, led, tea, paints, and glass, because these taxes are for the sole purpose of generating revenue for England. -

This was the event were British soldeirs fired on colonists killing five of them. -

The tea act was the act of the British putting higher taxes on tea. -

This is the event were colonists dressed as native american dumped tea into the harbor from british ships. -

Battle of Trenton
The colonists sneak attacked the British and won by capturing many of the hessian mercanaries. -
Battle of Princeton
The Colonists did the same thing at Princton the next day as they did at Trenton in which they snuck up on the British and won again. -
Battles of Saratoga
This battle was the turning point in the war for the coonists. Which after victory the colonits gained much needed supplies. -

These battles were key victories by the Patriots over the British. -
