The second Continental Congress decided to create an army that they would print their own money to pay for and that George Washington would be the general of. -
Lexington and Concord
"The shot heard 'round the world" was fired at Lexington and in that battle 8 colonists died and 10 were wounded. Concord was where all of the militias weapons were but the militia was out and waiting for the British ready to fight. -
