  • Boston Massacre

    Boston Massacre
    The Boston Massacre was a fight that took place in the streets of Boston, Massachusetts between British soldiers, that had been moved in to keep colonists cooperating with the new taxes, and some American Colonists. It started when the Colonists began throwing snowballs, sticks, and rocks at the soldiers.     Intolerable or Coercive Acts

    The Intolerable Acts, also known as the Coercive Acts were placed on the American Colonists by the British as a result of the Boston Tea Party. They were a series of laws passed to punish the colonists for their rebellion. This included closing the Port at Boston, restricted Massachusetts from having town meetings, it made British officials immune from being in trouble with the law in Massachusetts, and the Quartering act which made the Colonists house and feed British troops
  • First Continental Congress

    First Continental Congress
    The First Continental Congress consisted of 12 representatives from the 13 Colonies in Pennsylvania from September until October. They wrote the Declaration of American Rights, which included the rights to life, liberty, and property. It established that Parliament had no rights over the colonists, Parliament had no rights or power over them. The colonists, did still love their king.
