In 1763, to prevent more war with native Americans, the British government issued a proclamation. -
Grenville act pass parliament April 5th 1764
The most objectionable part was the Sugar Act, known in England as the American Revenue Act. -
The Currency act pass
The Currency Act passed Parliament, prohibiting the colonies from issuing legal tender paper money. -
The stamp act
To pay for the french and Indian War, the British made the colonist pay taxes on stamps, sugar, tea and other products. -
The Boston massacre
A mob of angry worker sand sailors protested the taxes by attacking a patrol of nine British soldiers with rocks and snowballs. -
The Boston tea party
In 1773 the British parliament issue a series of laws to punish Boston by pouring all of their tea in the ocean .
