Navigation Acts 1651
The Navigation Acts were acts passed by the Parliament. The navigation act required goods to only be imported to English colonies. -

A seven year war between England and the American colonies. This seven year war was fought between British America and New France. The English and the French took place in colonial domination in North America. -
Proclamation of 1763
The Proclamation of 1763 was given by the King to protect French Territory in America. Forbiding settlement drawn along the Appalachian Mountains. -
Sugar Act
The Sugar Act was an act theat foced people to pay taxes on sugar and molasses.This act took over and was put in place because the previous act was about to expire. The sugar also affected the amount of rum produced, because molasses was one of the main ingrediants. -
Stamp Act
The Stamp Act was passed by British Parliament, a new taxed imposed on all American Colonist. Forcing them to pay taxes for printed paper and such. People viewed the act as an attempt to raise money instead of regulating commerce. -
Declaratory Act
The Declaratory Act was set after the repeal of the Stamp Act. The Declaratory act also pressed authority and to pass binding laws. The Declaritoy act was based on a phrase that covered the tax law. -
Townshend Acts
The Townshend Acts were a series of four acts that would exert authority over the colonist. In 1770 the Townshend Acts were replealed.During the time the Townshend Acts were in place, they limited the amount of glass, lead, tea and paper imported to the colonies. -
The Boston Massacre
The Boston Massacre was a street fight, between British Soldiers and a mob. The mob had weapons such as stick and snowballs. The soldiers held guns and were wearing redcoats, giving them the nickname "redcoats." When given order or feeling threatened the soldiers fired into the crowd, later claiming self defense. Killing many including a black man named Crispus Attucks. -
Boston Tea Party
The Sons of Liberty was the group who destroyed tea. The Boston Tea Party was caused due to taxes. The Boston Tea Party was only directed to ruining the tea, nobody was hurt. -
Intolerable Acts
Series of laws passed after the Boston Tea Party. The laws were inforced to punish those who destored tea buring the Boston Tea Party. -
1st Continental Congress
The First Continental Congess met from September-Octocber. Their meeting place was Philadelphia. All the delegates arrived except for Georgia's. -
2nd Continental Congress
The Secind Continental Congess was a convention for the thirteen delegates, The second continental congress would address issues that were nessessary after the redcoats had fired into a crowd. Also addressing issues being faced after the Battles of Lexington and Concord.
