French and Indian War

A series of acts designed to punish the British colonists in Massachusetts for the Boston Tea Party. These acts took away the colonists rights. -
1st continental Congress
The 1st Continental Congress was a meeting between delegates from 12 of the 13 colonies. The meeting was called to respond to the intolerable acts and they organized an economic boycott of British goods. -
Lexington and Concord
The battles of Lexington and Concord were the first military engagements of the Revolutionary War. -
2nd Continental Congess
The 2nd Continental Congress managed the colonial war effort by all 13 colonies. -
